Outer ring separation thin-wall bearing assembly method
2018-09-25
Thin-walled bearings with separate outer rings have a special construction. The integrity of the bearing structure must be ensured during use. According to the structural characteristics of the thin-walled bearing separation outer ring, the tapered guide block is used to slowly expand the separated outer ring within its strength range to meet the requirements of loading the remaining components. The remaining components are then loaded into the steel ball tray according to the bearing assembly method, and the tray is placed in the groove of the tapered guide block; finally, an axial force is applied to the inner ring by the pressure block to complete the thin bearing assembly.

Thin wall bearing assembly steps:

1. Put the inner ring and cage into the tray in the specified order;

2. Place the steel balls one by one into the pocket of the cage and support them through the tray to ensure that the steel balls do not fall off;

3. The tapered guide block is slowly pressed into the inner bore of the separated outer ring to expand, and the cylindrical portion of the upper end surface of the tapered guide block is flush with the upper portion of the separated outer ring;

4. Adjust the position of the tapered guide block and the separated outer ring so that the outer ring and the upper ring of the support ring are in good contact;

5. Place the small cylindrical portion of the lower end of the tray on which the bearing assembly is mounted into the groove above the tapered guide block to make the contact good;

6. Insert the small cylindrical portion of the press fitting block into the inner hole of the inner ring;

7. Apply axial force to the pressure block, press the inner ring, the cage and the steel ball into the separated outer ring to complete the assembly of the thin-walled bearing.
